Sarah’s Asymmetrical Shawl
2017 Sunshine Charlotte Designs Shawl CAL

A slanted, asymmetrical shape and crisp edged points make this shawl the perfect design for your fall wardrobe. Worked in alternating rows of mesh and dc, this shawl drapes beautifully, and it keeps you warm. You’ll work it from the thinnest point, and as you increase, cleverly-placed hdc give it its curved shape. Additional chains along the edge create a jagged winged feel to this shawl, making it the perfect combination of edgy and chic. This pattern is accessible to anyone comfortable with Easy Level patterns, and it works up quickly. It makes a great gift for fall birthday, or you can add it to your own wardrobe!

The Sarah Shawl is the October installment of the 2017 Sunshine Charlotte Designs Crochet ALong, which features a different shawl pattern each month. This year’s CAL projects are meant to be donated to a local children’s hospital - specifically a cancer ward - so they can be handed out to mothers who suffer the pain of watching their child be ill. I design and donate these shawls in memory of my daughter Charlotte, who died of brain cancer in July 2015.
