Pattern Description from Interweave Knits, Summer 2006: “A traditional leaf-and-bobble motif looks new when it’s knitted on oversize needles--the large and unexpected scale of the pattern lets us see the graceful lines of the pattern in a fresh way. Fashion designer Welan Chia likes to pair bulky knitting with fitted silhouettes for a playful take on classic feminine knitting patterns. This time, she’s worked a sleeveless top in a multistranded cotton/silk blend and added a garter-stitch collar that buttons at the side of the neck.”

Finished Size: 32 (37½, 41, 44½, 48)“ bust circumference.

Yarn: Twinkle Cruise (70% silk, 30% cotton; 375–395 yd 342–361 m/230–250 g): meadowbrook (aqua), 2 (2, 3, 3, 3) skeins

Needles: Sizes 11 (8 mm) and 10½ (6.5 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: One 1-3/8” button; removable markers (m); stitch holders; waste yarn; tapestry needle.
