Seahare is a stockinette and lace hat in two sizes.

There are two brim options, either a double thickness of stockinette, to keep your ears warm in winter wind, or a 1x1 rib version for spring and autumn days!

It’s named for the Shaggy Sea Hare, a rather wonderful sea slug. (If you’re excited about sea slugs - here’s some more information.)

It takes about 50 grams of fingering/4ply for the ribbed brim, and about 70-80 for the folded brim!

This pattern is tech-edited, and is set up so that if you’re printing it, the photos are only on pages 1, 7 & 8.

Cost: I’m keen to keep this pattern affordable - that means different things to different people.

I’ve set the pricing at different levels; if you’d usually pay full price for a pattern without thinking about it, I’d appreciate if if you’d do that here too!

If you’d like to pay a different price, please use whichever code works for you.

SEAHARE2 $2 - the pattern will cost you $2. SEAHARE4 $4 - the pattern will cost you $4.
