The sample for this pattern was knitted using a mini skein set by Serial Knitters Dye House. The colors remind me of the leaves transitioning from spring into summer and fall.

This is a scarf pattern with an option to add buttonholes and buttons in order to make it a cowl. It is a fantastic way to use your gradient or mini skeins sets. It has been designed to be a fade from each color to the next, but you can also have a more stripy look when using contrasting colors.

Size: one.

Finished measurements: the shape of the scarf is a parallelogram, longer side is 54” (137cm), shorter side is 9” (23cm) and height is 6” (15cm).

Yarn: A set of 5 mini skeins. Sample is Serial Knitters Dye House 5 skeins SKUG Super Sock Mini. 100g - 465yds (425m) 75% superwash merino, 25% nylon.

Recommended needle size: US #4 (3.5mm) needle. Gauge is not important as long as you like the fabric that is created, though a different gauge will change dimensions and yardage requirements.

Notions: Yarn needle for weaving in ends and a digital scale to weigh your yarn. Optionally, one locking stitch marker to mark the RS. If you wish to make it a cowl, then 4 buttons ¾” (2cm) diameter.

Gauge: 25 sts and 25 ridges = 4” (10cm) square in garter st.
