Inspired by the shapes of washed-up seaweed on Newborough Warren, Anglesey, this cowl has a fair-isle-made image that, when worn, becomes abstracted and organic.

I used Rowan Silk Twist, a now sadly discontinued yarn, but what you’re looking for is 3-4 colours in an Aran weight. You only need 1 skein per colour and you should have plenty of yarn left for another pattern. If you wanted a similar effect to the Silk Twist, you could knit your choice of Aran yarn with a lace/fine weight yarn such as Kidsilk Haze.

Circumference = 54cm
Height = 24cm

Needle Size - US 8 5.0mm circular needle and a US 9 5.5mm needle for casting off.
