Alternate gauge: 15 sts and 25 rows = approximately 4” 10 cm in pattern with two strands of yarn held together.

Merino Kid (discontinued) was a DK weight yarn that was double stranded to get the above gauge.
To substitute yarn, try double stranding a DK weight yarn with similar fiber content.
Another option is to use a heavy worsted weight yarn that knits up at 4 sts per inch single stranded.
Note that if you go with the single strand heavy worsted option, you will only need half the yardage listed.

  • Pattern is elastic and gauge will vary slightly depending on how much it is stretched and where in the pattern you measure.
  • Yarn is worked double stranded (holding two strands together as one) throughout.

Undulating bands of knits and purls merge with mock cables in this luxurious throw. A bit of assymmetry adds visual interest, while the rib/welt patterning and double stranded yarn combine to create a dense, warm and masculine design.
