These are knit flat on straight needles (for those, like me, who would rather eat tacks than use circular/dp needles), then joined on the outside edge with ribbon or buttons. Shaping on the palms gives a nice, non-baggy fit on the hands, and the fit at the wrist and arms is adjustable with the ribbon or button closure.
