This pattern combines color work with twist stitches, inspired by bas-relief sculptures found in Seville’s main cathedral. The heel is worked in eye of partridge stitch to add even more interesting textures to the design. For me, these socks look very dramatic and ideally one would wear them with clogs or other kinds of open shoes. Choosing different colors than the ones pictured can create very interesting and lively socks!

Any light DK yarn knit at a smaller gauge than recommended on the yarn label works well for this project. The pattern is worked in three colors. Expect to use about 100g each of two colors (pictured: black and gray) and a rather small amount of the third color (pictured: white).

The color work pattern on the leg is a 9 stitch repeat. The cable panel on the instep is actually made using twist stitches. No cable needle required!

Este patrón combina color y puntos trenzados, inspirado por las esculturas de bajorrelieve que se encuentran en la catedral de Sevilla. El talón está tejido con el punto “eye of partridge” para añadir más textura al diseño. Para mí, estos calcetines tienen un look muy dramático y serían bonitos con zapatos o sandalias abiertos. Elegir otros colores distintos de los que se ven en las fotos puede resultar en calcetines muy brillantes e interesantes.

Cualquier lana de DK ligera, tejida a una tensión más tensa que la que se recomienda en la etiqueta funciona bien para esta labor. El patrón se teje en tres colores. Puede que se use 100g de cada uno de los dos colores principales (en la foto: negro y gris) y poca cantidad del tercer color (en la foto: blanco).

Los puntos en color de la pierna son de una repetición de 9 puntos. El pánel de cable en realidad se teje con puntos trenzados. ¡No hace falta ninguna aguja de cables!
