This lovely modern circular cowl was inspired by the shades of grey of the wintry grey clouds during a long Scottish winter.

The cowl is knitted in the round with 3mm (2.5US) needles in stockinette (all rounds knit) from a provisional cast on. The last round is grafted to the provisional cast on with Kitchener stitch to create a perfect infinity scarf.

The blocked measurements of the cowl are width circumference 16” (40.5cm) by length circumference 30” (76cm).

The sample is knit with Drops Alpaca (100% Alpaca, 4 ply), 50 grams/167meters (183 yards), balls in:
o 1 Off White (17)
o 1 Light Grey Mix (501)
o 1 Dark Grey Mix (0506)

There are endless potential great colour combinations and other types of yarn that would suite this pattern!

The pattern includes charts for the fair isle sections of the cowl.

Hope you enjoy the pattern! Happy knitting!
