This pattern has been re-released as part of the new book She Made Them Her Own: The Best of Trudy Van Stralen.

One of Trudy’s pet peeves was “filler” stitches at the side seams of garments in order to adjust sizes. When Trudy designed cabled sweaters, it was imperative that the cables be across the whole sweater, which created a challenge when figuring out multiple sizes. This beautifully cabled sweater is knit in the round to the underarms. In order to maintain the flow of the design, the braids from the center front, center back and saddle shoulders are carried on through to the fitted high neck.
