This sweet little capelet looks fancy, but it’s really quite easy to work and simple to memorize. A good travel piece, it uses not a single purl stitch. Great for beginning knitters (with some experience) who love the lacy look. Knit sideways and worn with a flirty flair, the garment comes from the neck to about the elbow, hitting at about the waist in back but dipping deeper in front. Wear it part way buttoned or swinging open, double-breasted or as a plunging neckline. The pattern is reversible, so you can install your buttons on either side.
