This hat was designed for one of my daughter’s college friends. It is a slouchy beanie that will fit an average head. It has a 19.5 inch unstretched circumference and is 10 inches long.

Blocked, the stitch gauge is 24 stitches = 4”; unblocked, the gauge is 34 stitched = 4”. Row gauge is the same blocked or unblocked 40 rows = 4”.

The pattern uses US size 1 (2.25 mm) and 3 (3.25 mm) 16” circular needles; and then US size3 double points (or your preferred method) during the crown decreases when the project will no longer fit on the 16” needles.

The sample in the photo used 225 yards of Malabrigo Finito in the color Azules.

The pattern is written with some charts. Only the lace body portion is charted; the crown decrease section is not charted, it is only written.
