This pattern uses two colors of yarn and a simple cable stitch to give the impression of scales. If you wish to use only one color, there will be a puckering caused by the cable stitch that will also give a scale effect.

Uses: 2 Balls – Isaac Mizrahi Craft (113g / 4 oz; 90m / 99yds per ball) in Audubon (Color# IM2005-04) – Knitting weight: Bulky (5), plus 2 Balls – Patons Beehive Baby Chunky Yarn (100g / 3.5 oz; 109m / 120yds per ball) in Quicker Clover (Color# 241076-76233) – Knitting weight: Bulky (5).

Waist circumference = approximately 20 inches / 50.8 cm. Length = approximately 18.5 inches / 47.0 cm from waist band to toe and 29 inches / 73.4 cm from waistband to end of tail fin.
