This short row scarf is a fun way to showcase a gorgeous long self-striping yarn by pairing it with a complementary solid. It would also be stunning knit with leftovers in place of the the self-striping yarn.

Materials:

  • Main Color: solid sport weight yarn, 432 yards (sample used 3 skeins Ultra Alpaca Light, color 4275, Pea Soup Mix).
  • Contrasting Color: sport weight self-striping, variegated, or leftovers to total about 430 yards (sample used 1 ball Schoppel Wolle Zauberball Starke 6, color 1505)
  • US 6 (4mm) needles
  • 4 each of 3 different stitch markers (these will be Marker A, Marker B, and Marker C)
  • Optional: Crochet hook the same size as your needles
