Named after a glamorous face of the 60s, Jean Shrimpton, this is perfect for dressing up a simple outfit. Best worn with lashings of black eyeliner!

The collar is worked from side to side using short rows, and is a great introduction to this technique. Knitting commences at the front left point of the button tab and is worked sideways from right to left to the same point on the right button tab. The collarette is worked completely in garter stitch with some short row shaping. Because the short rows are worked over garter stitch there is no need to work a wrap around unworked stitches.

This project only takes one 50gm ball of DK weight yarn so is a great stashbusting project.
