A contemporary shrug knitted in one of my favorite yarns called Canyon, a rayon and cotton blend hand dyed. The yarn has a super soft feel and also sports a bit of sheen and color variation~ Just lovely!

Alternatively you could also use a sock yarn.

The pattern is a simple one. Stockinette stitch, increasing and decreasing, that is about it. So even a beginner can tackle this one as well as a seasoned knitter will enjoy this pattern.

A knit kit is available at yarnz2GO.com
There are two size options. S/M and L/XL. This particular yarn holds 330 yards which is enough also for the XL size.

A crochet hook or darning needle is needed to weave in ends and sew/crochet the seams.

Enjoy~
