Pattern description from Alterknits: “Each of the two caps presented here is altered in a different way. Sally’s cables and lace is embellished with beads. Antoinette’s squares combines knitting and crochet. The stitch pattern for Antoinette’s squares comes from Mon Tricot 250 Patterns to knit and crochet.”

Finished Measurements: Approximately 20 (22.5)“ in circumference.

Yarn: Fiesta La Luz (100% silk; 210 yards/2 ounces): 1 skein for each cap. #19 cactus bloom (A); #15 pinon (B).

Needles: One set of 4 or 5 double-pointed needles (dpn) size US 5 (3.75mm). Change needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Yarn needle, approximately 100 size 8 seed beads, cable needle (cn), beading needle, crochet hook size D/3 (3.25 mm).

There are two patterns : “Sally’s Cables & Lace” and “Antoinette’s Squares.”
