This is a free pattern for a very simple beanie pattern for a fully-grown head of any gender. The detail that makes this more unique than a standard beanie pattern is that the ribbed brim is knit twice as long so to double it up in back for extra warmth and grip.

This pattern is appropriate for beginners and would be a suitable first hat. Or for a knitting veteran, it’s a great fast knit for a hat that needs to be done in a weekend.

Although I used DROPS Lima yarn for this hat, any worsted weight yarn should do. A superwash yarn would be ideal so you could wash it in the washing machine instead of by hand!
