This crochet soap sack pattern collection is designed for charitable use, to be given with bars of soap to homeless shelters and similar service organizations. Or, feel free to use it for more personal gifts or enjoy it yourself!

The basic sack worked in double crochet is quite simple, and the pattern also includes stitch pattern variations: granny, angled blocks, and shells.

Gauge: 11 dc = 3 inches
Suggested Hook: H / 5mm

The sack is designed to hold an individually-boxed 3.75 oz Dove Sensitive Skin bath bar but will hold any similarly-sized box or bar of soap.

A single ball of yarn should make one or more sacks, but I suggest getting multiple coordinating balls so that you can enjoy making color combinations.

Although I am not affiliated with them, I was inspired by the SACK Project. For more about their mission and giving suggestions, visit: soapsacks.com

Thanks to Brad and Caitlin for proofreading and testing!
