This hat pattern is part of the e-book “Seasonal Simplicity” by Lisa Fine. Click here for more info on the book or to purchase the e-book.

The hat is knit flat, worked back and forth on straight needles from the brim to the crown, then seamed down the back. It’s a great first knitting pattern for a beginner, or anyone looking for a super simple hat worked flat. I used local worsted weight yarn so it’s also a great 1 skein project.

Here is a blurb, written by the author Lisa Fine, about the book:
“For the last twelve years, I have been learning ways to make my life simpler, in the hopes of finding more meaning and more time in this busy, hectic world.
I wrote Seasonal Simplicity to benefit people looking to add more simplicity into their lives, season by season. The book is filled with advice, writing space, worksheets, and projects for you to plan and enjoy your path towards more simplicity.
Within each season you’ll find micro-movements – small steps you consciously make to help you attain a goal or path – in a number of categories to help you get started in slowing down, saving money, and simplifying your life.”

The e-book costs $10. For more information about her e-book or to purchase it, click here.
