I charted out the words, knitted the hat, wrote the pattern. Then I Googled and realized Hillary had spoke these words, plus enlist.

Slightly slouchy hat with the words “insist - persist - resist” near the base, and contrasting color of stripes at the crown.
The hat is knitted from bottom up, from base to the crown, in Worsted Weight yarn.

Size One size (adult medium)

Yarn Worsted Weight Yarn

  • Yarn A - Gray Heather, 100 yards.
  • Yarn B – Light Pink, 30 yards.
  • Yarn C – Dark Brown, 30 yards.

Needles

  • US #6 / 4.0 mm (or change needle to obtain gauge) in you preferred method to work in round.
  • Also, one size larger needle for work colorwork chart.

Gauge 19 sts x 28 rows = 4” x 4” / 10 cm x 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch using larger needle, after blocking.

Measurements 18 ½” / 47 cm around x 8 ½” / 21.5 cm tall
