A simple and quick, yet delightfully satisfying chunky knit. Perfect for beginners, or any knitter looking for a simple project to show of some beautiful chunky yarn.

The cowl is knitted sideways, so length can be adjusted to suit your own requirements. The idea is to use the two colours of yarn to create the contrasting pattern with the stitches, giving the “skeletal” spine like appearance in the rows. However construction wise, this isn’t essential. The yarn required needs to be a chunky or bulk weight, this gives the best stitch definition between the rows.

A tapestry needle or crochet hook will be needed to join the cast on/bind off edges.
