Fair-isle, cuffed gloves knit with traditional Shetland patterns.

The cuff of the glove is patterned with a traditional motif and has ribbing underneath for a good fit. Both the beginning and ending of the cuff are finished with a small amount of corrugated ribbing.

The thumb shaping is non-traditional for shetland fair-isle gloves in that the thumb has a fully shaped gusset as opposed to an afterthought style thumb. This shaping puts less stress on the glove and allows for a better fit.

Fingers are created with the baby finger first and traditional bridges and gussets to create the tubes.

Pattern includes colour charts and legend as well as the basic charts without colouring so that you could colour them in with your own choice of colours.
