A quick and easy project for all those last minute gift giving opportunities. Slip stitch patterning looks difficult, but is easy to achieve. Make it in multiple colors or just two contrasting colors. The style can be used for both men and women.

This hat and cowl set can be done with 200 yards of the main color and 50 yards each of three contrast colors. It is easy to substitute a single contrast color, if desired.

The hat is designed with head measurements from 16 inches to 21.5 inches. There is plenty of stretch built in for larger heads to fit in the biggest size. Work 9 color rows for the medium and large sizes. Work 6 color rows for the small and extra small.

The cowl is worked in rounds with the same slipped stitch pattern. It is easily customizable for a longer length. Just make sure to get extra yarn for a longer cowl.
