This is a crochet hat pattern for a perfectly slouchy beanie with a giant pompom.

I have named this hat ‘The Ballintoy,’ after the picturesque village of Ballintoy near my place of birth, in Northern Ireland. It is famous for its remarkable scenery and beautifully situated fishing harbor. Such an exposed location often requires a warm hat, which is precisely what this pattern will give you.

This is a super slouchy hat, sized for women (head circumference 22-23 inches). You will need bulky weight yarn to complete this project.

The pattern is suitable for beginners, with a basic crocheting knowledge, and is written in standard US terms. I have included detailed step-by-step instructions, and I also offer free support via email, should you need help with any aspect of the making process.

If you have any questions whatsoever, do feel free to contact me, weeyarnstudio @ gmail.com.
