For these beaded knit bags I used #000 steel knitting needles and size 11/0 seed beads strung on a spool of DMC crochet cotton (perle 8). On the pattern page there is a link to an overview of beaded knitting which explains transferring the beads onto the thread as well as a bit more explanation of the beaded knitting process.
