This stranded knit cushion features three colourwork bands with repeating patterns and comes in two sizes, 14 inch and 16 inch, you can use as few as two different colour yarns or as many as you like! The patterns include both full charts and smaller versions with the repeated sections highlighted, the rows and stitches are numbered with every 10 rows/ stitches highlighted and there are instructions for knitting the cushion flat and for knitting it in-the-round.

It is recommended you knit a small section of the stranded pattern as a swatch to obtain a good fit, the gauge listed is 22 stitches, 30 rows per 4 inches (10cm) but adjustments are given in the pattern notes for a row count of 28 or 32 per 4 inches (10cm).

You will need 6 buttons of approximately 1/2 inch (15mm) diameter and there is an option of adding beads- you will need 41 for the 14 inch size and 90 for the 16 inch (they should be size 3/0 to 6/0).

The 16 inch cushion used approximately 445 metres and the 14 inch test knits used 230- 410 metres.
