Introduction
These ribbed mittens, knit at a tighter than usual gauge, really give your hands a squeeze. Last winter I found myself craving some super snug fitting mittens and this three by two rib does the job. Perfect for solid, variegated or even self-patterning worsted weight yarn, why not knit up a pair or two?
Difficulty Level: Beginner, should have a good handle on knitting ribbing in the round, and increasing/decreasing.
Skills Required: Long tail cast on, knitting in the round, increasing and decreasing, picking up stitches.

Materials

Yarn: Striped pair: Adriafil Stella Jacq, Worsted weight, 100% superwash wool, 100m in 50g, 2 balls, shown in colour 084. Shown in larger size.
Semi solid pair: Fibre Goddess, Dumbledore Worsted weight, 100% Merino, 200m in 100g, 1 skein, shown in colour: Paper Bag Princess Shown in smaller size.
Some testers had success holding fingering weight yarns double.

Needles: 3.25 mm (US 3) and 2.75 mm (US 2) DPNs, or circular needle if working magic loop (pattern is written for 4 DPNs).

Notions: stitch markers, 1 removable stitch marker, waste yarn or stitches holder, darning needle.

Gauge: 21 stitches and 17 rows in 4 cm (11/2 inches) in 3 by 2 rib, unstretched, in the round, on larger needles.
