I appreciate a crazy sock. For this design, go ahead and pick four colours that don’t really match - the helical striping method makes sure that anything and everything goes! I tend to choose one or two wildly  variegated or striping yarns with solid colours for the rest, though there are absolutely no rules here. Ideal for using up mini skeins or sock yarn leftovers, these socks can be made out of any combination of colours you have on hand.

It is very stretchy. With a gauge of 8.5 stitches per inch in stockinette on 2.25mm needles, the smaller  (women’s size) will fit a foot that is 8.5” in circumference, while the larger (men’s size) will fit one that measures 11”. If  you prefer a smaller size, I suggest using 2.0mm needles or decreasing more stitches on the sole to get the desired result.
