This is a very simple pattern for a pretty raglan sleeve sweater, I have sized the sweater to fit up to a 42 inch bust. It has a pretty picot edge to the neckline, hem and sleeves and would make an excellent Summer/early Autumn addition to your wardrobe. i have included a short sleeve t-shirt variation to the sweater, which looks lovely with a long floaty skirt or shorts!

I have suggested using Rowan Soft Knit cotton for this pattern, but any DK weight yarn knitted to the stated tension/gauge would work well.

This pattern would suit someone who has mastered the basics of knitting and is looking for a more challenging / first garment project. The fit is fairly close fitting for the sweater slightly more relaxed for the t-shirt variation.

The sweater takes between 7 and 11 x 50g balls of yarn (approx 105 metres long each)

The t-shirt approx. 5-8 x 50g balls of yarn.

The design lends itself to modification so if you prefer not to have a crochet picot edging, this could be substituted for a knitted border or edges could be left raw for a more relaxed look.
