The Solskin Top is a cute summer crop top with a romantic touch. This nature-inspired design features a beautiful lacy leaf edge along the hem and is designed with the hot summer days in mind. The placement of the double-knit straps is fully customizable – you can opt for full bra strap coverage, or go for a cross-back look. Either way, this cropped little top looks great by itself, but also when paired with a jacket or a cardigan. The Solskin Top is designed with sport OR fingering weight cotton yarn. It’s worked in the round from the bottom up. The stitches for the back are bound off when the armhole is reached. After this, the front and the straps are worked separately. The Solskin Top is intended to be worn with no ease.

SIZES
XS, (S, M, L) (XL, 2XL, 3XL) (4XL, 5XL)

Choosing the right size is of utmost importance. Take your body measurements and choose the size that corresponds with them. This garment is intended to be worn with no ease. The measurements below are the finished garment measurements, not your own.

Chest circumference:
78, (84, 96, 108) (114, 126, 138) (144, 156) cm
30¾, (33, 38, 42½) (45, 49½, 54¼) (56¾, 61½) inches

The pattern includes a full size chart. Feel free to email me if you need any additional measurements.

MATERIALS
Needles: 4 mm circular needle (US size 6, UK size 8) or other needle size that matches gauge. I recommend using an 80 cm or 100 cm circular for the body.

Yarn: Fingering or sport weight yarn, approximately 380, (400, 450, 520) (560, 630, 680) (720, 780) meters / 415, (436, 492, 569) (612, 689, 744) (787, 853) yards.

For the pink and yellow samples I used Cotton Blend Fingering from Oshen Knits (50% cotton & 50% sw merino, 100g/400m/436yd) in Rollerskates and Harvest Gold. This yarn is available through www.oshenknits.com. For the green sample I used Made by ME cotton (100% cotton, 50g/124m/136yd). This yarn was available at Action (a discount store-chain) a few years ago, but it’s no longer available. For my Solskin Sweater (which has the same gauge), I used Yarn and Colors Favorite (100% cotton, 50g/170m/185yd). You can use any fingering weight or sport weight yarn that gives you the correct gauge.

Other tools: Darning needle, scissors, stitch markers, measuring tape, scrap yarn OR extra cable.
