This shawl is worked form the hem to the neck edge in a combination of lace and garter stitch. The speckled yarn is alternated with bands of color from the transitional skein set, making this shawl the perfect knit for a combination of speckled and transitionally-dyed yarns.

“The wind was howling outside, and the rain was beating and splashing against the windows. Suddenly, amid all the hubbub of the gale, there burst forth the wild scream of a terrified woman. I knew that it was my sister’s voice. I spring from my bed, wrapped a shawl round me, and rushed into the corridor.” ~ The Speckled Band
