The beautiful, speckled yarn from Knotty Habit inspired the Speckled Galore Shawl.

It is a crescent shaped shawl that can be worn in different styles.

Sections of stocking stitch shows off the light speckles in varying colours in the hand dyed yarn.

The eyelet sections are perfect for beginner lace knitters.

To add a bit of fun to Speckled Galore a chevron border, paring the speckled yarn with a solid colour is added. It is knitted onto the body, incorporating one stitch at a time.

I used the Golden Rule (from Marita Steyn - Beyond Knitting) for neat edges.

Tracking boxes are added to keep track of the pattern repeats.

There are increases of 4 stitches on every RS row and 2 on every WS row in the body sections.
