Spider Stitch
From the Stitch Description: This very old pattern is of the utmost simplicity - a real “beginner’s lace” - but quite charming. In structure it is just one of the miniature leaf patterns with alternate motifs elongated by repeating the same row three times. It would be lovely with beads knitted in: three of them, say, in the central stitch of each of the elongated motifs (on rows 2, 4, and 6) and one in each of the small diamonds (on row 10). It is attractive as an insertion, either vertical or horizontal.
