Control your turf by creating your own fun-colored, quick to make Splatoon Inspired Case for the Nintendo Switch with a little baby Inkling Buddy to keep you company!

This five page pattern (including a page to print out with templates for the Inkling!) tells you step by step how to crochet your own Switch Case with Super Bulky Yarn, 8.00 mm Crochet Hook, and Half Double Crochet stitches so that it’s done in no time! You can even skip the tedious hand sewing of the felt with a bit of fabric glue and some clothes pins or binder clips to keep the material together while it dries.
Pattern also includes instructions in case you want to include some pockets for your Joy-con controllers and/or charger, as well as how to make slots for a few game cartridges.

Materials

  • Super bulky yarn in bright, Splatoon-esque colors

  • 8.00 mm hook

  • Large eye yarn needle

  • Felt

    • 1 full sheet in a color you want to line the inside of your case
    • 1 (at the least) quarter sheet in a color you want your baby inkling
    • Scrap pieces or sheet in a slightly darker color than inkling for spots
    • Black and white sheets for eyes (optional)
  • Sewing materials or fabric glue (I used Liquid Stitch) to bind felt and yarn

    • If using fabric glue, also need something to clamp felt while it is drying such as clothes pins or large binder clips
  • Puff Paint in white & black and/or darker color from base felt (optional, depending on your preferred method of making Inkling)
