Variegated yarns are so eye catching; vibrant contrasting colours instantly draw the eye. Unfortunately they can be a little tricky to use in projects when the end result desired is a modern, clean classic. Sprinkling utilises wee sprinkles of variegation to achieve this.

Sprinkling is a PEKAPEKA MULTI pattern; a pattern written for multiple sizes (15 of them, from newborn up to 10y), and also multiple yarn weights (4ply/fingering, 8ply/dk, and 10ply/worsted).

Construction
Sprinkling is constructed from the hem up, The body of the vest is worked in a very simple stranded colourwork, while the chest is finished with a simple garter stitch square neckline.
The colourwork best suits a solid main colour, and solid, semisolid, or variegated contrast colour.
For sizes 50cm and less, buttons on both shoulders allow for easy dressing over a disproportionately large baby head.

Skills Required
knitting in the round
simple stranded colourwork
If you are not familiar with these techniques you may need to reference a knitting guide book, or view videos on the internet.

You can purchase Sprinkling on it’s own, or in the Sprinkled eBook. The Sprinkled eBook is great value…..it contains 3 multiple yarn weight, multiple sized patterns at a discounted amount. The final pattern in the eBook (entitled ‘Fairy Bread’) will be released in October 2014.
