Squishville socks are for padding around the house in winter. They are knit cuff down in sport weight yarn and the heel and sole stitches have a strand of mohair/silk lace weight yarn as a carry-along (hat tip to Cat Bordhi’s Cushy Footbed socks). You will not need a full ball of mohair lace yarn, leftovers will work nicely.

There is a hemmed top and a simple 2x2 rib pattern with a grafted toe. You can use a 3-needle bind off if you prefer, but Knitty has excellent grafting instructions. Best of all, you don’t need to weave in all the mohair ends as they will felt in place as you wear the socks.

This pattern is not for commercial use.
