This playful spiraling-stepped-slipped stitch sock was designed with the thought of combining a gradient of mini skeins together with a contrasting colour. I had fun designing them because they ended up turning out completely different than what I thought would happen when I started charting the pattern. And the name? Staigri is the proto-Germanic word for stairs, which I found to be an original and fitting name for this pair!

This is the final pair of socks to complete the trio of slipped stitch socks that I designed this summer. And since I couldn’t get enough of them, I even wrote up a Bonus Sneaker Socks pattern! You’ll find it as an extra attachment to this pattern.

On 31 August my 11-year-old daughter is going to swim 500 m through the city canals for the fundraiser Swim To Fight Cancer. I’d like to donate all the sales between the day of release and the 31st to her. For more info or to donate direct to the fundraiser check out her website: www.fightcancer.nl/fundraisers/sheilariemens

Hooray to you for your donations and to my daughter for swimming and raising a grand total of €500! We’re so proud of you!
