This scarf pattern was made specially for my beautiful nieces. My very close friend has a 2 year old daughter, and her boyfriend has a 2 year old daughter, they are step twins. I love them dearly.

My mom taught me to hairpin lace crochet in about a minute when I was pregnant, I had to watch a few youtube videos to get reacquainted with the technique, but it really is quite easy to learn. I am not including a tutorial for hairpin lace with the pattern because there are so many already available.

I have included instructions to make this scarf longer and wider, it is not limited to a toddler size. The scarves I made already will fit these little girls until they wear out completely.

A note about this yarn. It is fairly delicate, I love the colors and the shine, but it does snag quite a bit. I think any yarn will work for this pattern, and I do think this yarn looks great, but just be prepared that your project may show a little of the black core of the yarn here and there.
