Designed exclusively for Dragonfly Fibers Yarn Club September 2013

There is nothing like a quick, beautiful accessory. And this uses just one precious ball of Traveller!

How to wear them? Tucking these inside a pair of boots gives them a modern twist as boot toppers. Legwarmers also allow you to extend the life of those cropped pants that were so popular in the Spring and Summer. Wear them as an outer layer when wearing a skirt or dress. And finally you can go the route of legwarmers over leggings (you know you want to). But be advised you may need to follow the size suggestions to size them up a bit as they are designed to fit close to the leg with negative ease.

Details: Straight as an Arrow uses a cable pattern (both charted and written) that is simple but interesting enough to keep you going for ‘one more round’. And with the simplicity it works well for variegated yarns. I designed it to be knit without a cable needle and provide instructions on how to do that. More on that technique can be found on Knitty scroll down to the ‘Cabling without a cable needle’ section. There is calf sizing to provide better fit.

Size: One size. Finished measurements are 8.5” ankle x 13” long with directions on customizing size. Item should be worn with negative ease so that it stays up.

Yarn: 1 hank Dragonfly Fibers Traveller (approx 280 yds) shown in Winter Woods colorway

Needle: 1 set US #7 / 4.5mm DPNs or 1 long circular
