The snowflakes are made using the stranded technique, but because of the 3rd colour they also end up looking like they have been stranded onto a line of bunting.

They also echo the snowflakes seen in the Opening Ceremony of the Winter Games 2022.

Fun to knit - so many colour combos (the pattern could also be knit with just 2 colours for more pronounced snowflakes)

The hat starts with a provisional cast-on and the cuff is added after the stranded section has been worked so you can get the exact fit you want.

Huge thanks to miriamspooner and Summerberrycrafts for their enthusiasm, beautiful knits and fabulous photos.
