STUFFY OWL TOY KNITTING PATTERN
This a simple to knit owl. It is knitted in one piece, and there is no tricky colour-work as the eyes and beak are added after knitting using Swiss Darning (or duplicate stitch) embroidery.
THE PATTERN INCLUDES: Row numbers for each step so you don’t lose your place, instructions for making the owl plus photos, a chart to show the colour pattern, a list of abbreviations and explanation of some techniques, a materials list and recommended yarns. The pattern is 3 pages and written in English.
TECHNIQUES: All pieces are knitted flat (back and forth) on a pair of straight knitting needles. You will need to cast on and off, knit, purl, work increases and decreases and sew seams.
YARN, NEEDLES AND NOTIONS INCLUDE:
- A pair of straight 4.5mm knitting needles (US 7)
- Aran weight knitting yarns (worsted weight); less than 20g in each colour
- Toy filling
- Small toy safety eyes (or you could use buttons or beads)
