This fun sideways shawl has a light and airy body made up of eyelet rows and a cute zigzag pattern along its edge. It is suitable for any season but perfect for summer with its open, airy lace pattern. It is completely reversible and requires only one skein of yarn. Worked in one piece from end to end, the lace edging is worked along with the garter stitch body. Size is adjustable, based on how much yarn is used. One skein of Red Sock Blue Sock Yarn Basic Sock was used here. The colour shown is Violetta.

Basic Sock and other suitable fingering weight yarns, including BFL Sock and Feather, are available at redsockbluesockyarn.com. Choose from the many beautiful hand-dyed colours.

Pattern includes notes, list of abbreviations, diagram, and written as well as charted instructions.

Finished measurements: approximately 15 inches (38 cm) wide at middle point and 72 inches (183 cm) long, after blocking.

Skills required: increasing, decreasing, knitting lace, blocking lace. Stitches used: k, p, sl1, k tbl, kfb, k2tog, ssk, p2tog, p2tog tbl, yo.
