Designed for PostStitch’s July 2017 SockStitch subscription, Summer Shower is a warm weather sock inspired by the inconsistent Florida weather. Spend a summer day on the Gulf Coast and you will learn that early morning, clear skies can quickly morph into an afternoon storm. To capture this dichotomy, the back and underside of this sock is knit with stockinette stitch to resemble clear skies, and the lace eyelets that fall down the front of the sock resemble the rain drops so commonly present during a Florida summer.

CONSTRUCTION + SIZING
This ankle sock is knit with the Magic Loop technique from the cuff down. It features an Afterthought Heel and an easy-to-memorize, 4-row repeat. This pattern includes Small (Medium, Large) sizing instructions, which measures to 7.5” (8.25”, 9“) leg circumference. While the pattern is written for a short sock, the pattern around the leg can easily be repeated to make a taller sock.
