Summer stroll scarf evokes a lovely stroll on a summer’s evening through a cottage garden, morning glories and honeysuckle growing on the lattice, their blooms filling the air with sweet smells.

Summer Stroll is perfect for an intermediate knitter or a strong beginner wishing to try knitting more than one simple pattern stitch. Starting with a bottom border of flowers, the body of the scarf has lattice diamonds in the center with the same border of flowers on either side, and finally ends with a top border of flowers. If you would like to make it wider for a stole or just a wider scarf, increase the number of center lattice repeats, which are repeats of 6 stitches.

While gauge is not essential, different gauges will change yarn requirements. A scarf knitted on larger needles and in DK weight would be just a beautiful.

I hope you enjoy taking this Summer Stroll! Happy knitting.
