It is the perfect everyday item to pop on children to keep them warm while playing outside and can be done quickly as they run past! With no sleeves to get dirty it is the ultimate messy play companion and is designed with lots of growing room in both width and length.

Sizing
This tunic is designed to be a loose-fitting tunic with approximately 5-10cm of positive ease built into the pattern and a nice long torso, meaning it can be worn for multiple years.

6-12 months: 43-48cm, 17-19”
1-2 years: 48-53.5cm, 19-21”
2-3 years: 53.5-56cm, 21-22”
3-4 years: 56-58.5cm, 22-23”
4-5 years: 58.5-61cm, 23-24”

Gauge
Knit flat in stocking stitch on larger needles, 22 sts by 30 rows per 10cm/4”.

Yarn requirements
Any 8ply/DK weight yarn you can achieve gauge with in the approximate amounts below.

6-12mths: 315m, 150gm
1-2 year: 380m, 180gm
2-3 years: 420m, 200gm
3-4 years: 525m, 250gm
4-5 years: 630m, 300gm

Needles and notions
• 3.5mm 30cm or 40cm length circular needles
• 4mm 40cm length circular needle, or 4mm flat needles
• 2 x pieces of smooth waste yarn or stitch holders
• One extra 4mm needle for three-needle bind off
• 6 x 20mm buttons
• Measuring tape
• Scissors
• Darning needle
