Surface Tension
The photos do not do justice to this undulating surface.
Some years ago I was introduced to D-Forms and spent a long time investigating their possibilities for knitting and crochet. There is a fundamental problem - in the linked article it says
a D-Form should be made of material that does not stretch or shear
Obviously all knitting and crochet will stretch (unless it is set in some way) so the ideas that seemed so good in theory just don’t work in practice.
Nevertheless, that investigation led to this afghan, which is extremely easy to make and a little different from the norm.
