Do you want to stand out in a crowd? if so this SUSHI hood is for you.
My favorite part of this pattern is that you can pull on the drawstrings and close the mouth :) How cool is that?
With this as well as with all my patterns: The pattern itself is for the purchaser ONLY. Please do not share the pattern or included pictures. Please do not change portions of it and resell the pattern.
Feel free to sell the finished product
Pattern is rated: Intermediate
The Entire Hood is worked double stranded
Gauge for Hood: Double stranded with M (8mm) 7sts=3” & 4rows= 2 1⁄4”
Hood Size: One Size. When folded in half (not including the tail) the hood is 10 3⁄4“ wide & 14 1⁄4” long before front slant
My head is just over 21”. If you want your Hood larger, go up to an M (9mm) Hook. If you want it smaller go down to a (7mm).
Materials you will need:
The yarn needs to be the same thickness as Caron One Pound or Red Heart Super Saver. I’m using Caron One Pound because it’s a “sturdy” yarn and holds the shape well. Red Heart Super Saver is also good. I don’t suggest using I Love This Yarn because it doesn’t hold the shape well.
Hood & Fin Edging:Worsted Weight(4), Caron One Pound, Scarlet=615
Lips & Crown:Worsted Weight(4), Caron One Pound, Black=85
Eyes & Fins:Worsted Weight(4), Caron One Pound, White=125
• L hook (8mm)
• H hook (5mm)
• 14mm Safety Eyes
• Scissors
• Yarn or Tapestry Needle
• Stitch Markers
• Optional: M hook (9mm) if you want the lips a bit bigger, Styrofoam head & pins (helpful when sewing pieces on)
