The Swaledale Stripes phone cover is a really fun, quick, summery project. It’s also a great way to use up any small quantities of cotton DK yarn you might have lying around.

The inspiration for creating this pattern was simple - I wanted to be able to find my phone more easily when I put it down! Pick your own colour scheme for this pattern and you will never lose your phone again (well, maybe a little less often… ;-) )

To make the Swaledale Stripes phone cover you will need:

  • 3.5 mm / E crochet hook
  • DK cotton yarn
  • darning needle
  • button

The pattern is written in English using U.S. crochet terms, but with the equivalent U.K. terms explained.

This pattern was designed to fit, and photographed on, a Microsoft Lumia 640 LTE

Phone dimensions: 71 mm (2 and 13/16”) wide; 140 mm (5 and 9/16”) long; 8 mm (5/16”) deep

The pattern is suitable for this phone or models of a similar size. I have also given guidance as to how to modify the pattern to fit phones of different sizes.

I live in Yorkshire, England. Swaledale is one of many beautiful valleys in the region. I hope this pattern makes you as happy as the Yorkshire countryside makes me!
