The inspiration for this jumper came from a walk in our local woods during a sunny but cold winter day. I wanted to knit something that could be worn on its own and would just show off the beautiful natural colours of the blue faced Leicester wool. It had to be long enough so as not to be constantly pulled down. I also wanted a neckline that showed off curves without being too cold for winter.
The result was this jumper which fits like a glove.

Comprising set in sleeves, horizontal bust darts and just enough colour detail to look interesting without an obvious ‘home-made’ look to it.

Since this is my first tailored jumper design, I wrote out the instructions ‘long hand’. This makes them look much more complicated than they really are.
